Terms & Conditions
solenttools.co.uk is a website owned by Solent Tools Ltd for the sale of products associated with power tools and garden machinery. These terms and conditions apply to all users and use of this website. If you do not accept these terms and conditions please do not use our website. This is a UK website which has been intended for purchases from UK residents, all prices quoted are in pounds sterling and include Vat. Whilst we welcome international users and purchases we cannot guarantee that our website can account for and take into consideration surcharges, tax and laws of other countries. You are therefore responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
All the spare parts we sell do not come with a guarantee, this is because we cannot guarantee that the part has been fitted and used correctly, nor can we guarantee the original parts of the machine are not faulty and are causing the part that is being replaced to appear faulty. We have over 30 years experience of repairing power tools and garden machinery, we are fully aware of the different symptoms machines have and the different ways that parts break which are caused by different faults. If we believe a part is truly faulty we will replace it free of charge as we know that the quality of parts that we supply are of the highest possible quality (with the exception of when we offer multiples of the same part for the same model). We are not a warranty agent for any brand of power tool or garden machinery and we assume all of our parts are fitted outside of any warranty periods the manufacturer has given.
Whilst we do everything we can to ensure the information on this site is reliable and accurate, we do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in the information on this site. If information is inaccurate then we will go to great lengths to resolve it and ensure errors are not repeated.
A full payment must be received before we can accept your order and despatch it. We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order after acceptance and before dispatch, this can be due to a suspicious payment method, insufficient personal information but in most cases this would be due to insufficient stock. We keep almost every item we sell on our shelf, for most products we can restock within 48 hours but there are a few lines that we get specially made that take considerably longer. Where possible we will contact you before cancelling and refunding an order and at this time we will usually be able to give an estimated time for restocking.
You may cancel your order and receive a full refund (including any postage charges) anytime before we dispatch your order. You will need to email or telephone us directly in order for us to cancel your order. Once we have dispatched your order you will need to wait for your order to arrive, you will then need to comply with our returns policy to receive the appropriate refund.
If an order is not delivered in the specified time period Solent Tools Ltd cannot be held liable for any loss or damage directly or indirectly affected by the delay. Solent Tools Ltd will follow the procedures of the delivery company to resolve the delay and any refunds given by the delivery company will passed directly onto the customer. We shall have no liability for any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, industrial disputes, breakdowns.
